Ya gotta love her... :) [Feb. 1st, 2009|06:47 pm]
Stephan

I wish I had her ability to make the best of a bad situation. I think my life would be a lot better.

Incidentally, a subconjunctival hemorrhage is more common than you think. It happened to one of the staff in my office, and all he did was sneeze. He spent several days with an eye that was fully blood-red in colour but apparently it didn't affect his vision.

I myself have an annoying spot in my vision because of a minor hemorrhage at the back of one eye. Unfortunately it looks like it's permanent since it's been there for nearly 12 months now and only faded slightly.

I read this strip this morning hehe

Staying positive in any situation is a habit, nothing more. I used to be the world's most miserable person to the point I got put on a friend's email list as "Eeyore". I had an attitude adjustment some years back and slowly forced myself to change. It really is just habit, as much as anything else. The world affects us, but so too do we affect the world.

Well said. We are gifted with the opportunity to choose at every turn how we will respond to any situation.

I've had several conjunctivæ, they always provoke "What in the world happened to you‽"

Your speck may continue to fade with time... anyway, here's 何平!

Hi Old Wolf!

Firstly, ouch! I hope those conjunctivæ were not to painful.

Second, part of your post was changed into non-ASCII text. What was the word just before the exclamation mark?

Crud. I guess your browser is not unicode-friendly. They were the Chinese characters for "Ho Ping", a taiwanese filmmaker... ;^)

And, thanks - fortunately the conjunctivæ were not painful at all - in fact, I didn't even know I had one until people started looking at me with horror and revulsion in their eyes! XD
