http://weather.smh.com.au/local.jsp - I'm posting this at 1:35pm local time. We're expecting a cool change later in the day. I really hope it DOES arrive; my place will be like a brick oven already. Thank heavens for the air-conditioning at my workplace.|
Now... anyone want to persuade me that it's hotter in Canada? :P
We get close to that on our hottest days, but not regularly :P
Meanwhile, it was in the -20s C today. Right now it's -23 with wind chill factored in.
Awww... how I could dig that right now!! :D
I've heard that there's a cold wash sweeping its way from Vancouver southeast into the United States. Pity it can't be sent down here instead.
A few years ago (2005 or 2006 I think it was) we had a freak weather event where there were several especially cool days in November. I was enthralled! Even now I have no idea why it occured.
Fortunately for the area that I inhabit, we usually get up to only 25°C in the summer, at most 30, but rarely that high.
But even then, you get used to that being hot...
I've NEVER got accustomed to the temperatures in the country where I was born, and I've nearly always been able to enjoy winter with (at most) minimal discomfort while other people arrive at the office shivvering and complaining. I'm definitely the one out of place here...
...it HAS to be the fox blood in me.
This time the weather forecast delivered as promised - it's down to 20 degrees celcius. Looks like for the first time all week I'm going to be able to sleep without the need for temazepam.
you can have some of my weather and a glacier too ^.^
HEY ALASKAWOLF, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?!
Oh if there were only a way to make that happen! :D
Last night I DID have trouble sleeping afteer all. Even though the air had fully cooled down outside, the brickwork in my building was still hot. I had all the windows open (I'm safe - 10th floor up) and even that wasn't enough. :(
