|That's not an MRI, this is an MRI...

The machine in yesterday's MRI scan was exactly what I'd seen before on TV and movies, but the one involved today was twice the size. Whether or not that's significant I don't know, but the machine was far more comfortable to endure than last time. Same types of buzzing noises though.
Oddly enough, I found that there was more care taken here, at the public hospital, than in yesterday's private imaging clinic where I had to front up with the cash. Yesterday I had only a loose brace on my shoulder (the part undergoing scan) while today my neck was not only enclosed by a brace but the radiographer(?) padded the sides of my head with foam pieces to make it far easer to avoid movement. There was also a large piece of padding under my knees that made the experience more comfortable still (I wonder if I can buy something like that to help me sleep).
Now for the annoying news. For yesterday's scan, I wont know the results until the 20th because my orthapaedic surgeon is attending an overseas conference. As for the neurologist, I need to dial in tomorrow and book in the consultation
