|Not the noises I expected...

It's the first time I've heard an MRI working. I was expecting either silence or a high pitched humming. It came as a surprise to learn that you need to wear ear plugs in the thing - I haven't seen that on movies or TV.|
What follows is (allegedly) 20 minutes of various buzzing noises, varying lengths, varying pitches and varying rhythms if I can use that word. I must have put myself into a mild coma during the process because it felt like no more than 10 minutes.
Whatever length of time passed I was especially disorented afterward and not very alert to my surroundings. The floor looked further away than when I sat up on the platform and in my bare feet I was a little scared to step down again.
I'm home now, feeling especially tired. Work has been crazy lately, and with my health problems on top of that I've found that my energy runs out quickly. It will be an early night tonight, and the MRI for my neck is tomorrow afternoon.
