My absence over the past 3 days has been due to my attendance at the Furjam 2008 gathering, which is as close as I'll ever get to the experience of what it would have been like to be at Ponycon (don't start on me now you people who believe in either miracles or black magic).
I've just finished uploading the better of the photos I've taken, and following this there will be an attempt to present them on my Live Journal.
In the meantime, just where I am with my health:
The MRI for my shoulder is booked in at 3:45pm on Tuesday the 7th October. The really good news is that the cost is much lower than anticipated - I've been informed by the imaging clinic that the gap will be only $110.00. This is especially good news beause it leaves more money for whatever expenses will be needed for treatment of the problem.
As for the MRI on my neck, which is being done in a public hospital, I've been trying for several days to reach them on the phone, and all I get is an annoying message bank recording. Finally on Friday I reached a human being who told me to try again on Monday (tomorrow) because they were not taking any new bookings that day. I'll bet I'm told something similar on Monday, or at the very least that they're booked solid for the remainder of the year.
My neck caused me quite a bit of trouble during Furjam, and I wasn't able to stay around for as long as I wanted to each day, but nonetheless I had a furtastic time.
