Thank heavens I'm not a giraffe (no offense Cecil) [Apr. 6th, 2008|08:24 am]
Stephan
Stupid me.

Yesterday I took the opportunity for an after lunch walk, since the weather has finally cooled sufficiently and I was unable to attend Fox Valley due to the trains not running.

Now have I ever learned the art of moderation? NO... Instead of just making it a short walk I did the entire round trip from Artarmon to below the Cameray bridge.

The first thing I noticed is the difference in my physique since the I trod this trail late last year. Previously I had powered along like a Dash-9, but now I felt more like an old steam engine carrying far more weight than my specs were ever designed to allow.

I felt much better on the return journey, as my stomach had tightened just a little bit. Obviously I need to keep doing this regularly.

However my neck is now aching. When am I ever going to remind myself in advance that this happens if I walk too much when my body isn't ready for it.

Thank heavens for the gel pack I bought. Now I only need to mend myself just enough to visit the chemist and buy some of the dental wax that SleepyJohn mentioned.

Same here! Before I moved into this horrible city I used to go walking every single weekend.

There's no pain from the tooth thankfully, I just need to be careful not to damage it further.

The pain in my neck has been a real pain in the neck. Not only was it unpleasant, but I couldn't do a darned thing on the comic.

I have all the backgrounds ready.
I have 4 complete drawings ready, and one that I want to improve upon slightly (just some minor corrections).
I have instructions from Carlfoxmarten and Sleepyjohn for using GIMP

All I need is a body that isn't falling apart as I try to use it.
