Climate not conducive to fox blood [Oct. 16th, 2007|12:05 pm]
Stephan
Top today of 33 degrees celcius (91.4 Farenheit for those still using the outmoded system).

I don't know how wild foxes cope with this; they must bake in their skin under all that fur.

Some of you may recall me posting a little poem about how much I adore winter. It doesn't last long in this country. Now's the season to be suffering. The daily average only grows worse until late February, and decent weather doesn't begin until April.

Must... have... snow!! [Gasp!]

Our weather last week was weird. It started with 31-degree days, but by Friday we were down to the low teens. As I type this, it is 22:40 and the temperature is 10.

Fall weather in my area came three weeks late, too.

Fall weather? Is that wet or icy weather where there's a risk of slipping on the ground?

I know, you mean AUTUMN! :P

You wrote this before reading today's O&M?

I don't know. What time was my post and what time did the O & M episode display?

Your post was on Tuesday at 8:19 PM on East Coast time. I'm sure that DCS is in North America, so he wouldn't have updated the O&M site yet.

Hee! :)

Stranger things have been known to happen. I recommended against giving kangaroo milk to a baby sheep "or you'll have a lamb bouncing all over the place" and Kathy cringed because she'd already drawn the next episode with precisely that happening.

...and it works both ways, because I'd come up with a joke about why GG1 is FEMALE, intended to be included in the comic, but it's lost impetus now that the question has been raised in both Freefall and Carry on.

I wish I could help, but unfortunately we don't get much snow around here in the Winter I'm not sure we could spare it...

(plus, trying to ship snow over there would be rather expensive and heavy with all the refrigeration equipment to keep it cold)

Yeah, it's been tried in cardboard boxes and the attempt failed :)

Seagoon:
I now pronounce the box of British snow open.

Omnes:
[Native mutterings]

Seagoon:
Oh no! The snow's gone! The box is full of water!

Bloodnok:
Egad. The heat of the sun's melted it.

Seagoon:
Who stole my snow and put water in its place eh? I'm ruined! [sobs]
